Nut Crackers - DF, GF, Paleo
- 2 cups of mixed nuts ( macadamia, pepitas, walnuts and almonds - raw unsalted)
- 1 egg
- 2 tblspns water
- 1 tspn Himalayan salt
- seeds for topping (eg. poppy, nigella, sesame seed, anise)
Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius. Line trays with baking paper. Mix nuts so that they are like flour in processor. Add egg, water, sea salt and stir with wooden spoon until blended and stiff. Divide in two and place directly on baking paper. Roll out using paper in-between to save stickiness. Roll until 2-3mm thick. Use a knife to cut them in slices or squares. Spray with water and lightly push seed in. Bake for 10 minutes but check regularly as they can burn easily. Store in tin or jars. Great with dips.
